Hola! I’m Laura, originally from Madrid, Spain, and I’ve been living and breathing dance for over two decades. My journey began at 14 when I discovered my passion for Hip Hop, but it was battling in the Madrid club scene where I truly found my calling. Those underground battles ignited my passion for Popping, Locking, and the raw energy of urban dance culture. From there, I dove deep into the world of street styles, honing my skills in the authenticity of Madrid’s vibrant dance community. My training expanded to embrace Latin styles too – Salsa, Samba, Reggaeton, and the fiery art of Flamenco from my Spanish roots.
Career Highlights
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of performing on some amazing stages:
- Got To Dance (2012)
- High School Musical London (2013)
- Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff (2015)
- BBC Bristol productions
- Major festivals including Nosy Neighbour, Bristol Festival, and Bournemouth Festival
I’ve competed internationally across Spain, the UK, and the US in prestigious competitions like UDO, BDO, WDO Urban Display, and ICU. Beyond performing, I’ve been choreographing and teaching for over 14 years, working with dancers of all ages and levels. Currently, I’m proud to be part of the teaching team at Danni Dance Academy, where I work with competition teams.
I’m also deeply committed to giving back through charity work, including meaningful projects like Dance Dementia and Dance Donation, using dance as a tool for community healing and connection.
The Challenge That Changed Everything
In 2014, my world shifted when a serious injury forced me to step away from dance completely. What followed were six challenging years of recovery – not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. Dance wasn’t just my career; it was my identity, my joy, my everything. Those years taught me resilience, but they also deepened my appreciation for what dance truly means to a person’s soul.
Just as I was ready to return to dance, COVID-19 hit, putting everything on hold once again. Then life blessed me with my beautiful daughter, and suddenly I was navigating motherhood alongside my dreams of returning to the dance world.

The Birth of Motion Masters
After almost a decade away, I knew it was time. But I didn’t just want to return to dance – I wanted to create something meaningful for the community that had given me so much.
Throughout my early professional years, I constantly struggled to find high-quality, challenging classes in the Southwest, especially for advanced dancers wanting to push their boundaries. I wasn’t alone – I met countless dancers who had to travel to London or Manchester just to access the level of instruction they craved.
That’s when the vision for Motion Masters was born.
Our Mission
Motion Masters exists to bridge that gap. We bring elite choreographers from around the world directly to Bristol, creating opportunities for our local dance community to learn from the best without having to travel hundreds of miles.
This isn’t just about dance classes – it’s about:
- Community building – bringing dancers together
- Accessibility – making world-class instruction available locally
- Growth – providing the challenges advanced dancers need to evolve
- Inspiration – showing what’s possible when passion meets opportunity
Looking Forward
After everything I’ve been through – the highs of performing on international stages, the lows of injury and recovery, the joy of motherhood – I’m more passionate than ever about dance and community. Motion Masters is my way of combining these loves, creating something that serves dancers at every level while building the vibrant dance scene Bristol deserves.
Every masterclass we organize, every choreographer we bring to Bristol, every dancer who discovers something new about themselves in our workshops – that’s what Motion Masters is all about. It’s about motion, mastery, and the magic that happens when a community comes together to dance.
Welcome to the Motion Masters family. Let’s move together.
